Best Tank Setup for a Mixed Christmas Shrimp Colony
Mature, Cycled Aquarium
Add the shrimp only after the aquarium is fully cycled and biologically mature. Mature tanks provide more stable filtration and more biofilm for constant grazing.
Plants, Moss & Hardscape

What Do Christmas Pack Shrimp Eat?
All five Neocaridina color lines spend much of the day grazing biofilm, microorganisms, soft algae films, decaying organic matter, and tiny food particles.

Will Christmas Shrimp Interbreed?
Yes. Fire Red Cherry, Red Rili, Green Jade, Green Rili, and Snowball Shrimp are all Neocaridina and can interbreed with one another.
Future generations therefore may not remain consistently red, green, and white. Mixed offspring can show intermediate coloration, less predictable patterns, and increasingly wild-type coloration over later generations.
Important for breeders: This pack is best for a mixed-color display colony. If maintaining a specific color line is your goal, keep each Neocaridina variety in a separate breeding aquarium.

To say I was worried about this shipment was an understatement. I read they won't ship during extreme temp days. El paso has been having heat advisories for over a week with temps hitting 108°f. So I assumed the shipment would be delayed a bit which would have been fine. It was not however and it shipped. So I was super anxious the entire time obsessively checking the weather. Cue the day of delivery and it finally arrives and my heart sinks when I see the box wrapped in a plastic bag and the box is soaked. I hurry up and open and THANKFULLY, the plecos and shrimp were still alive. However, the plecos had almost no water left as the bag was tied in a way that it was leaking. Hence the box being soaked. The poor fish only had a small corner to swim in. So I will be watching super closely to see how they do these next few days as I know they must of been extra stressed. All that to say, my only real complains are: 1) They should have delayed shipping a week or so to let the heat advisories not be an issue 2) ensured the tie on the fish bag was extra good so that it did not leak. The fish could have died and may still honestly. Pros: 1) The plecos are as described and super pretty. 2) the Neocardinia are super pretty and decent sizes. I ordered the Christmas pack, chocolates, and blue dreams (breeder pack). They are all lively and bright in colors. 3) I highly appreciate that the shrimps shipped with moss to help them not bounce around everywhere. All in all, minus the anxiety of the heat and seeing a soaked box, I would likely buy again. Hence 4 out of 5 stars. Hopefully the fish do okay and did not get too stressed being almost all the water leaked. But, they are alive. My only comment on shipping is please do quality control checks on how the bags are tied!
All the shrimp survived the transport, though two unfortunately didn’t make it through the first day in the tank. Thankfully, the breeder pack included extras, so it worked out fine.

I ordered 10 shrimp, I received 20!!! With a bonus Blue galaxy!!! Every one arrived active and Happy! I did lose 2 in the 3 days after acclimation into my tank but like I said I ordered 10 and received 20, so all in all I have 18 healthy thriving shrimp! Their color is stunning and I definitely will order again!
After waiting more time than I anticipated. They all arrived alive and well
The shrimp all arrived alive and beautiful. Unfortunately, two passed away a week after being added to the tank, but I'm sure they had a rough journey as FedEx dropped them off upside down, so I'm assuming that wasn't the first rollercoaster they experienced. One of the biggest ones showed me quickly she was berried! Hoping to see lots of baby shrimp in the future.

Took a little longer that expected to get here but everything was good.
I loved the shrimp. Unfortunately had 3 DOA but the company had a quick response to my messages. I appreciate that. The shrimp were put in a small tank using just their own water for the first day but The water temps upon arrival were near freezing which I am taking as a major factor in the substantial loss in the first 24 hours. With that aside the shrimp that made it look great and I will be ordering from the company again in the future.
We had a few of the 10 pack not make it alive, but they are shipping the replacements soon, so if I can update later, I will. There seemed to be a mix of almost baby, juvenile, and adult, with more solid than that white middle look, but it is just luck of the draw. I hope I see more of the smaller ones after they grow a bit and get more confident, they won't become food. It's an exclusively shrimp tank, so hopefully sooner than later. I'm not unhappy, but I'm not blown out of the water, either.
Shrimp were delivered ontime and in great condition.
Only 2 didn't make it but the rest are thriving. A few extras to make up for the fallen soldiers.
Thanks for sending more shrimp than mentioned in the description. I have set them up in a breeder box for now temporarily while I'm setting up a separate tank for the shrimp.
Fantastic experience! My order was held until the weather was safe where I live. Very grateful for that! My shrimp arrived in perfection condition and after giving them to temp acclimate, off they went. It's shocking how much algae they eat! This was such a great experience, I just ordered 10 more!
